City Lights

The “City Lights'' series draws inspiration from my bedroom window, my favorite place in our Chicago home.  The last image that I see before falling asleep is the view of the glimmering, ever-changing lights from Chicago’s downtown buildings.  I always feel the energy the lights bring and the opportunity that the lights symbolize.  Each night, the lights look different and complex, yet beautiful and peaceful at the same time.  It was my goal to incorporate these feelings into a body of work.

These works are constructed with a custom built canvas, thousands of pins, paper, rhinestones and sequins.
